I hear a voice in my head that makes me hate myself and tells really mean things about myself and I can't control it. I need help sometimes when the voice tells me to do bad things to myself. How can I control this?

I have helped and am helping people cope with loss, divorce, anguish and parenting. Depression is also a major issue that comes up.
