It all comes down to whether you trust this person on that. Everyone has a past, and so they shouldn't be tied down for it. But if his past causes too much doubts for you and you just can't get over what he has done then it's not worth pursuing the relationship as it won't work out. However, if you trust him to know that he will stay loyal to you then feel free to date him. It all comes down on your own gut feeling and the kind of trust you have with each other.
