I think when asking yourself this question you have to understand that, people do love you. They love you but sometimes it can be hard for us to expect that this love is unconditional. So we play games with ourselves and try to find the logic in how people can find beauty in our flaws. "You accept the love you think you deserve." Maybe, we should instead ask ourselves, 'why can't I love me for me?' To see if perhaps the problem we're facing is our own lack of self love, rather than the feeling of being unloved by others.

The people who love you in your life always love you for who you are, that is what the definition of love is. But if you think some of them don't love you for who you really are then it means that they don't know you. So either give them a chance to know you or show them who you really are. Its always the people who love you that matter the most. :)

People have a set idea for what another person should be like. Although they don't want to be judged they are always the first to judge someone else. Also, most people can't love you for you because they are so determined to fix someone .

hey i see all these answers and i just feel bad because its all kinda not true. why ? because i used to be in the same situation as you. i was 16 and singe, i always wondered why no one would like me but during winter of that year, i met a girl and she bluntly said out all the things wrong with me. and thats where i have to improved in myself. People always said be who you are and they'll love you for who you are but trust me, sometimes the problems lies within you. I was an arrogant person with a very bad attitude. i changed and people started seeing it, and now i have quite a few girlfriends but yea. This is the harsh truth about ourselves. Find whats wrong with yourself then justify it. This is my advice and hope you'll find that someone soon
