Sometimes when I am sad, I become numb. Everything feels frozen. This can happen because I am depressed or because I feel overwhelmed. The paths help me both when I am dressed and overwhelmed as can the chat and therapists. Be kind to yourself. Do not make things harder because you "should" be crying. It will come at the right time.

Everyone shows their emotions differently. For a lot of people, crying can be a good way to indicate their sadness or anger or frustration. For other people, they show their emotions in a different way. Often when something very traumatic has just happened to a person they find themselves unable to cry. They feel numb with their emotions. This is often due to the mind trying to process what has happened. Not crying does not invalidate your emotions. It just means that your brain is still trying to process what happened to you or maybe you express your emotions in a different way other than crying.
