AI therapy chatbots can be surprisingly helpful, but they have their limits. I’ve used Noni on 7 Cups, and some other apps and they’re great for quick emotional check-ins. Sometimes the structured questions actually help me reframe my thoughts. I like tracking my moods or asking for AI problem solving tips. I still need to chat to my therapist for more support though. So, it is a mix of chats with a bot and other coping strategies. I don't think AI therapists exist and wouldn't trust one.

Yes, if you're looking for something short term. However, it could be very easy to get dependent on AI, from going to only venting or looking for support a few times a week to asking it for help with every day things, because I've personally seen that happen around me. So it also becomes important to know when and where to draw the line - by being more aware and being able to keep ourselves in check.

I’m feeling suicidal, but I have no one to talk to. I can’t call any hotlines or anything like that because of my severe social phobia and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere I can chat to someone. Where can I get some help and feel safe doing this?

i'm worried about my friend's mental health. Everyone views him as rude but no one ever praises him for anything and lash out at him all the time, so he responds. How can I help the situation?
