Tara Davis, Doctorate in Counselling Psychology

Well done for taking this step to improve your emotional health and increase your quality of life. Talking with a trusted professional is an important way to gain support, find insight and develop ways to move forward from a difficult place.

I am caring, open to all of life's difficulties and hope to build a trusting and compassionate relationship with you. I do not believe that problems can be solved by diagnosing and labelling people. Instead I value the powerful talking relationship and seek to empower people through our relationship to make changes for themselves.

We often develop 'blindspots' in our own lives that prevent us from seeing how our own behaviour patterns or attitudes might be somehow contributing to the problem. This is where a trusted professional can help you to gain some much needed perspective and offer a way out of your dilemma or difficult feelings.

My therapeutic approach is existential, which means that I am interested in the ways that a particular difficulty can make sense in the context of your whole attitude and approach to life. I am interested in exploring and helping you to understand the wider issues that might be influencing your perspective on a situation. Together we can explore the issue in a deep and meaningful way so that you can truly make changes in your life and break old patterns and habits that might be holding you back.

She is helpful, thoughtful, insightful, and a good listener.
Dr Tara Davis has been of immense help to me. She has worked through my issues in an honest, non-judgmental, kind and thorough manner. She has given me the valuable space I needed to explore my own views and to understand my own responses, and she has accurately pinpointed blind spots and defences that I have. As a result, I feel much happier, and I am much more capable of engaging with life in a healthy, active way. I would recommend Dr Tara Davis.
I really feel like she is helping me in ways that I never thought before. I'm telling her stuff that I'm too afraid to tell myself and it's such a sense of relief to talk about it and make me feelnso comfortable.
Dr. Davis is wonderful so far. She always gets back to me at least once a day (Chat) and is shows insights that I've never thought of. I recommend her 100%!
Excellent listener and great advisor. She will ALWAYS reply to you somehow.
