A poem about dreams and visions. How do you interpret your dreams and visions?

...See more The Vision and the Dreams As I tossed and turned, eventually falling into a deep sleep, only to fall out of sleep again— falling in a dream, my body jerking as if I’d been kicked off a mountain I have no recollection climbing. And there— a vision. A serpent, but not the hiss of Eden. A beautiful snake, pure white, threaded with a radiant ribbon of yellow— so striking, So majestic, it could make your hands unclench. Daylight comes, only for me to encounter a masquerader of a friend— a smile shaped like a serpent’s tongue. I carry the vision like a talisman in my chest, while a voice rehearses its cruelty, because outside, reality still wants its pound of me.

...See more We're all having a different experience , tho we may share the circumstance. Be slow to speak ! Speak life , not death if when you do . Careful of the story you tell yourself. The devil doesn't want you to come to the knowledge of the truth , what he lost you can simply gain if you believe you are worthy.

When prayer feels like persuasion
Poetry / by Adee758

...See more When Prayer Feels Like Persuasion When a prayer feels like a speech of persuasion— rehearsed, repeated, pleading into silence— I get on my knees, eyes clenched shut, and in that instant I fall into an abyss of darkness. A sudden, jerking thought: I haven’t left my room. Yet the familiar, haunting silence renders me speechless, fearful— that like before, I will rise from the floor with no answer, no Mediator present, no prayers ascending like incense to heaven. A harsh wind of unbelief disintegrates my words like mist. Discouragement chains my prayers deep in the pit of my stomach, while daily I’m being served the same bitter portion of waiting.

Who Am I Without Trauma
Poetry / by Adee758

...See more Who Am I Without Trauma Who am I without trauma? It is a question that lingers, unsettling and profound. So much of my identity has been sculpted in response to pain—my habits, my silence, my way of seeing the world. If healing means to be free from those influences, I wonder who I become when the echoes of old wounds no longer direct my steps. Does healing require me to outgrow my introversion? To stand at ease in spaces where people thrive on unpredictability and constant movement? I find comfort in stillness, in the quiet rhythm of my own company. Must I trade that comfort for a version of health that society defines as extroverted or socially engaged? There is a particular kind of joy in the small, solitary pleasures that others may not understand—the soothing repetition of crocheting a sweater in summer, or the meditative calm of filling color into intricate lines. These moments do not shout of progress, yet they speak of peace. Am I to let them go simply because they do not align with the world’s image of growth? Perhaps healing is not the act of reshaping myself to fit the social mold, but rather an unfolding of who I’ve always been beneath the layers of survival. Maybe it is the quiet permission to stay gentle, reflective, and inward-facing without apology. To heal, then, may be less about becoming someone new and more about remembering who I was before pain became my compass. Who am I without trauma? Perhaps the answer lies not in reinvention, but in recognition.
