Let me share a song that's been inspiring me lately: The Struts - Could have been me.

...See more Hello all, I hope you've been doing well. I found this song a few months back, and I wanted to share it somewhere.  The Struts - It could have been me I always imagined my deepest, inner voice is talking to me when I hear this song. Especially these lines: I wanna taste love and pain Wanna feel pride and shame I don't wanna take my time Don't wanna waste one line I wanna live better days Never look back and say Could have been me

...See more Hey... Want to talk? About anything you'd like. Ask me anything, or bring your topic. Just drop me a message, if you wish. I'm having troubles with communication, so... I'd like to ask for some patience... It can also happen, that I may say something bad or offensive... It is not my intention to offend anyone, just sometimes, that's how it comes out... but I really mean no harm.

...See more I can't say that I'm a big anime watcher. I saw a few, but only the less mainstream ones. Last night, I finished watching Haibane Renmei... I deliberately don't want to tell you much about it. But if you have issues with asking help, finding forgiveness.... then I recommend this one... It's ending isn't really a sad one, only if you think deeper into it.

...See more I figured I'd try to write another one. This is a continuation of my previous one, though... It would make more sense if you read the previous one, too. Feel free to leave a comment, whether positive or negative. I'd like to know what you Really think about it. I wake at last and slowly open my eyes,           "How long was I asleep?" I ask the skies. Alice is gone. Was it a dream? No.                   It couldn't be! I can still feel her glow.     I slowly get on my feet, look around. Alice is gone, my heart starts to pound. The clearing around me starts to decay, Grass browning slowly, bushes wasting away. Everything is gone again. I'm alone. I feel my heart turning back to stone. "Hello, Alfie." - a very familiar tone, a voice I have very well known. It's mine. My voice, yet somehow not from me. I turn, though part of me refuses to see. It's me, but not me. The very same face,   The same shared mind, but split in space. "Who are you...?" - even though I know. "You know who I am. Know why I'm here." I nod. A buried self from long ago. "That's right." - But why did he appear? "I've had enough." - he started with a sigh.   His demeanor calm, but filled with anger.   "You locked me away, you tried to deny,   But I'm part of you. Your buried stranger." I bow my head, I feel terribly ashamed. "I'm sorry. You were there when we tried. I got hurt a lot, and it was you I blamed. This was for the best" - I replied. He crosses his arms on his chest. "The best, huh? I am you, if you recall. I know your thoughts - it wasn't the best. It's just us here. Stop building that wall."  "You locked me away, thought it would keep you safe from the suffering and pain. You tried to forget where you stood. Let me tell you, all of it was in vain." "You were the voice that dared to speak,   The one that reached, the one that tried.   They struck you down and made you weak,   So I pulled back then forced you to hide." "I want to feel again. To be free again. To do things that I like. To do what's right. I want you to know, this is not a new reign. I want to do it with you. I'm not a blight." I look into his eyes - no trace of deceit. He's right, I know. What I did was necessary, but those days are over. Time to vary. "Yes. I want to. But first, I'm so sorry." "I know you are. I'm not holding a grudge.   It would be pointless anyway - I am you.   And you are me. I refuse to be our judge.   Let's be complete again. Start anew."      He steps toward me. I do the same.   No fear, no distance left to defend.   We reach as one, no more to blame.      And where he stood…   I stand.

Wrote a poem. Would you read it for me?

...See more I wrote this on a whim a few weeks ago. Not looking for recognition, just wanted to share it somewhere.  Rest I am a wanderer, lost in a forest,   Even though I’m trying my best.   I’m a vagabond, completely alone.   “What should I do? Should I atone?” This forest is haunting, full of bare   And twisted trees, no one to care.   My steps are quiet—_is this a dream?_   I have no mouth, and I must scream. People come and go, but they can’t see,   Or they choose not to. Like I’m a tree.   Always there, but to them, insignificant.   I keep saying “help me,” like a chant. Nobody hears, nobody sees. Deaf forest.   I want to escape, thinking the worst.   Feelings have lost their meaning.   Then what is the point of living? I hear a gentle voice in my mind,   Never heard something so kind.   It calls to me, toward a clearing,   No matter what it may bring. In the middle of the clearing,   There she is, sitting, waiting.   She sees, she greets, she smiles,   The only light for a hundred miles. “My name is Alice,” she says gently,   With a wide smile, without any dread.   I am scared. This must be a trick.   While I’m down, is she going to kick? She didn’t. A hand, she offered.   I took it slowly, like half-dead.   It was warm and soft to the touch,   Felt nothing like a hostile clutch. My eyes open wide; I can’t get it.   Beautiful—my heart about to split.   I ask with fear, “You can see me?”   “I’m here to help. In time, you’ll see.” My expression softens; a tear falls.   Is it possible? Am I out of my ***?   My mind races, saying nothing.   She wipes my tear. Warmth lingering. “I am here. Sit with me. Take a rest.”   She takes my hand, guides me to her nest.   She settles back down in the meadow,   Wrapped in a strange and gentle glow. I sit down, her hand still holding mine.   “Are you… real? Please, be my lifeline.”   She slowly nods. “Yes, but only to you.”   My head rests in her lap before I knew. Her hand strokes my hair; I feel at ease.   No more worries. She heard my pleas.   My heart slows, my eyes close. Sleep.   I’ve never fallen to slumber so deep.
