...See more Hi Everybody, I am schizophrenic and I have only a few friends and they are good friends who understand my illness. But I have a tendency to smother them, so I try to stay away from them more than I like. It is hard to make new friends the older I get. Often I feel like I am not good at conversation. Or I joke around which seems to offend people. I keep trying to reach out, sometimes finding people to talk to, but often I guess my wierdness puts people off. I seem to have had more charisma when I was younger (I guess). But I keep trying to reach out. Do any of you experience these things?

...See more Hi Everybody, I have been having a maintenance issue in my apartment for over a year. The landlord is trying to stop the leak but have had a lot of difficulty with it. It might be fixed - too early to tell. If they don't get it fixed I might end up having to move. I cannot afford that. So I might be forced into a group home. I am trying to let go of outcomes and try not to worry about it but it is very difficult to do. Thank you for listening.

...See more I am worried my church friends are angry with me. I know they cannot be, but I feel like they are. I am feeling bad and I am frustrated with myself because I do this over and over again.

...See more Hi Everybody - I hope this is an appropriate post. I am relatively new here, and am still learning my way around this site. Anyway, I am on disability for schizophrenia and severe anxiety. I spend my time drawing pictures, like this chipmunk, to relieve anxiety. I thought I would share it with all of you. Letting Go of Paranoia

...See more Hi Everybody - I am diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, GAD, OCD and PTSD. Often I feel like my friends are angry with me because I don't hear back from them soon enough, etc. I am seeing the need to break away from this way of thinking, because it is harmful to my relationships, and unfair to my friends. I am beginning to look at overthinking as an unhealthy habit, like an alcoholic's drinking. I am learning that I need to just let go. Go with the flow. Bend and don't break. Accept that a life of uncertainty is not only okay, but normal. Do any of you have any tips on how to "thought stop" paranoia/overthinking? Or am I expecting too much from myself? Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks.
