...See more I'm having a rough time in my life right now, just started meds for anxiety and depression yesterday. Today at work I got so worked up I passed out... Twice. I'm set up with a psychiatrist that ill start seeing soon. So to summarize, I'm struggling hard with myself at this point. Welll....After leaving the hospital, I come home to my girlfriend (who has lupus) telling me she has to have surgery to have a lyphmnoide removed because with the recent symptoms she's had, they think it could be cancerous. Normal people get scared about things like this, they try cope and try to be positive. People with anxiety dont cope as well. I can't stop stressing and worrying about it. Picturing worst case scenarios and how broken I'd be without her. We've been together 4 years, and I love her more than anything in this world.

...See more I'm 22 years old. I'm struggling with many issues. The worst one being Anxiety. However, having such severe anxiety has led to many other things that I won't elaborate on here. I'm looking for a woman listener, no offense towards guys, I just feel more comfortable with women. For many reasons. Also I would prefer someone older than me. Maybe 25 + (another comfort thing). Other than that I just ask that you have a personality when chatting with me. I dont want to feel like I'm confiding in a robot. Lol. Please respond if interested.

...See more Not for any specific reason, I just feel so overwhelmed. I had a my first Dr appt today, so I should be feeling some relief. I'm not. I'm on the verge of crying everytime I turn around today. My boss is looking at me like I'm crazy. And to be honest, I feel kind of crazy. Anyone else feel this way today, or ever?  Any suggestions?

...See more My family has a long history of mental illnesses. Depression being the main. Both of my mom's brothers are depressed to a stage I've never seen any one in. Both being very suicidal, my mom cares for them. I've always thought about them, and wondered how they got there. Things had to have been okay at one time, right? When did it get so out of control? So many questions. As for me, I've always had anxiety. I remember being a very nervous child, and I carried that constant nervousness and worry through high school. Until finally learning what it was. I've coped with it. No meds, just remembering to breathe and think of something positive, maybe find some sort of distraction. That has managed to get me through until now. I'm 5 years out of high school, still somewhat fresh to the real world. I should be living, and going out with my friends. Making memories in crazy places. Instead, you know what I do? I wake up every morning, irritated and still so exhausted. I lay in my bed for 20 mins or so, seriously considering calling in sick. I eventually force myself out of bed, and go through the motions of getting ready. Then, go through my work day pretending to care about meaningless conversations, and sometimes slipping to the bathroom or my office for a moment to breathe or cry. After work, I go home and get in bed. I'll screen my calls, and avoid doing anything productive. Seriously, dishes and laundry barely get done anymore. When I finally do them, I feel drained. I keep convincing myself im just acting like a lazy hermit, but I can't find it in myself to make any changes. I told myself I was just sad, people get sad sometimes. But do they get this sad for this long? Is any of this normal? Or am I learning first hand how my uncles felt before they ultimately stopped trying?

...See more When I was 18 (I'm 22 now), I was beaten and raped by a guy that had been somewhat stalking me for a couple years. I've been through all the motions that you make after something like this happens. Therapy, antidepressants, etc. I'm just so frustrated because here I am, 4 years later, writing this because I feel empty. I feel nothing, yet I feel everything. I can be fine one second then a smell, voice, or name can send my thoughts back to being pinned on that bed with his grip around my neck. Sometimes I can still feel it. I avoid tight collared shirts for that reason. I keep waiting for it to get better, but the older I get, the crazier I feel. Sometimes the thought of getting out of my house is exhausting in itself. I'm slipping into depression. I try to remind myself that there are people in this world that are struggling with issues that make mine look like a paper cut. I guess I just need some peace in my life.
