Howdy I'm Dave and I'm interested in speaking with people a bit more.

I'm on the Eastern USA timezone

I work alot but I've got notifications turned on and if I'm messaged I'll get back to you soon. Within 24 hours.

I'm big into stoicism and I've had to put it to practice having been through homelessness.

I like helping people but I have a hard time asking for help.

I'm learning guitar and I love the arts and science. And it's a good I also like camping because it made the aforementioned homelessness much more manageable.

I am looking to be loved.

...See more I feel like it's in my nature to be helpful. But often people will take advantage of this. So at some point, some people will use me too much and I become unwilling to help them anymore. This causes problems for both parties - they feel I'm being mean now but I feel terrible too because I WANT to help but am tired of being used and lied to. I don't know what to do about this.

I know people live their animals but anyone could take her cat to the vet. I, a human, am sick. I... gods help me part of me still would go in.

...See more So I'm cosigned onto a lease and my roomate is consistently irresponsible about the rent. It's a one bedroom apartment where I made my room in a sort of office space with no door. After having to pay the full rent on my own I demanded we switch rooms. He refused. So I'm taking my name off the lease and he can do it on his own. I get to utilize the place for the month then I'm back to living in a tent. Fine by me. I like the outdoors and I have a whole month to find a good spot. But am I the unreasonable one here?

...See more I dont know what to do with myself when I've got a day off. I try to distract myself with all the chores and exercise and hobbies and that's still just half the day. At times I almost feel guilty for sitting down and genuinely relaxing. Don't know what to do about it. Anyway, to the laundry.
