Relationship anxiety

...See more About a year ago, I got out of a toxic relationship with someone. I’ll call him J for short. J used to do things that didn’t make me feel good. He would make me feel bad about myself physically any emotionally. He quit putting effort into our relationship after a few months. He even lied about loving me. He was pretty awful. I was pretty messed up after the breakup and when the truth came out. I’m much better than I was a year ago, but there is some anxiety left behind from that situation. I’m now in a new relationship with someone who is so much better. Even from the relatively short amount of time I’ve been with him (we’ll call him B for short), I’ve been able to tell that he’s kinder and a better fit. He’s very kind and he wouldn’t deliberately do anything to hurt me, unlike J. B is very open to communication and listening, unlike J. Even though there are countless things that prove that B is not like J, I still get worried that he’ll do the same things that J did. I know it’s not true, but my brain keeps bringing me to that fear. Are there any ways I can alleviate my anxiety?

...See more Yesterday my long distance boyfriend and I mutually decided that we needed to break up. Things just weren’t working. I was putting more into the relationship than he was. Basically what happened is that we both agreed that things couldn't work anymore. I was putting in more to the relationship for months and he just couldn't do it. I told him that I couldn't stand not getting any reciprocation from him and he felt bad because he just couldn't do it. He has known that he isn't really a relationship kind of person but he tried so hard to make it work. We both did, we both wanted everything to work and it just couldn't. We mutually decided that we needed to end the relationship. We don't hate each other or anything, we left on good terms but it still hurts
