Time to quit Gooning
Addiction Support / by GoldenRetriever21

...See more Hello, I have been addicted to *** / porn since I was 12. I am now 25. I used to do it to more vanilla stuff, but in recent years I became addicted to live cams, and spend several hours a week on those sites. On average, I *** maybe 5 times a week, but each session can be pretty long. I really want to quit for good. I've tried using website blockers, but I always find a workaround to these. Any help / conversation is appreciated!

Problem with Brother

...See more Hi all, I have a younger brother by about 10 years (he is around 13 y/o). He is currently being very rebellious , treats everyone in my family disrespectfully, refuses to help at all, and constantly makes a mess. Me and my family have tried talking to him respectfully, but he doesn't listen. Sometimes I even lose my cool with him and yell at him, but he just yells back. I haven't found any way for him to be respectful or at least mindful of others, and it's driving me crazy.

Trouble at home

...See more Hi all, Im 25 years old, and I live at home with my parents and 2 younger brothers. I don't make enough money to move out just yet. I get along well with my parents, but I've always had a shaky relationship with my brothers, I guess we are just too different. I'm more logical and calm, whereas they are both more impulsive, extremely emotional, and get angry very easily. I have tried getting along, and it's gotten slightly better over the years, but I always have to be careful when talking to them. Sometimes I just find it easier to not talk to them at all, to keep my peace. But then they start arguing with themselves and it's a new problem again. I'm not really sure what to do...

Comparison and Self-worth

...See more Hi everyone, Not sure where to post this, so I guess I'll do it here. I graduated college last year, and I have been struggling with finding purpose and with my self-worth. I have many interests, and I am great at many of them, but I do not like my career and the pay is not good. I'm trying to pivot careers, but it is a complicated process. I also don't live in the US, but all my friends do, so seeing them succeed makes me happy but also a little jealous thinking that it could have been me, living the life I want to live. I guess all of this impacts how I feel about myself, feeling like I could be doing more, but the circumstances do not allow me to.

Porn addiction and Community

...See more Hi everyone, For about 10 years, I've been addicted to porn. It feels good to finally write about this, as I am too ashamed to talk about this to friends / family. I always say I want to quit, but I haven't been able to. The longest periods I have been free of porn or *** have been when I have been really surrounded by people. Now, I work remote, so it is harder, but I try to stay really busy during the day so I avoid any urges. Maybe this place will help me find a community that also has similar goals in mind! Some other things I started trying are: writing down how often I do it, and try to reduce that number every week. Add website blockers to porn sites. Be very mindful about my urges. Let me know if you have any other advice!
