Comparison and Self-worth
Hi everyone,
Not sure where to post this, so I guess I'll do it here. I graduated college last year, and I have been struggling with finding purpose and with my self-worth. I have many interests, and I am great at many of them, but I do not like my career and the pay is not good. I'm trying to pivot careers, but it is a complicated process. I also don't live in the US, but all my friends do, so seeing them succeed makes me happy but also a little jealous thinking that it could have been me, living the life I want to live.
I guess all of this impacts how I feel about myself, feeling like I could be doing more, but the circumstances do not allow me to.

I know it's easier said than done but comparing yourself to your friends is making you feel worse and less accomplished.
It's important to find your passion outside of your work and this will enable you to feel happier and more like you.
And while you are still at this job, have a look at what other opportunities might be available 🩷

@GoldenRetriever21 You’re not behind; you’re in a transition that just happens to look slower than everyone else’s. Comparing your real life to your friends’ highlight reel will only distort your view of yourself. Keep experimenting, building skills, and making small moves toward the life you want. Even something as simple as a decoradtech project can help you explore interests while you figure out your next career step.
