...See more Hi. I’m new. Names Elaine. I’m 57 years old and still have trauma residual even though I’ve had a lot of recovery and don’t have a relationship today with my bio sperm and egg donors (they were not parents). I haven’t seen them in 12 years. No contact. So, I Thought I’d come here to share my stuff. My parents abused us when we were kids mostly mentally and spiritually. There was no protection sexually as I was molested but they did nothing about it except say that my perception was off.

...See more Hi! I am 57 years old and was abused by alcoholic parents. It’s been almost no contact for 30 yrs, (I did contact them 3 times and their verbal abuse never relented). This time I have not contacted my mother for 12 years because she is so toxic. (My father died 6 years ago). I am a Christian who believes to give them over to God, but I am still left with the trauma. My family (aunts uncles cousins) don’t understand me. They consider me terrible for abandoning the family, “After all they have done for you.” or “You will regret it if you don’t reconcile and they die. Call her.” As she gives them sob stories. Can anyone relate?
