Survivor of Parental Abuse
Hi. I’m new. Names Elaine. I’m 57 years old and still have trauma residual even though I’ve had a lot of recovery and don’t have a relationship today with my bio sperm and egg donors (they were not parents). I haven’t seen them in 12 years. No contact. So, I Thought I’d come here to share my stuff. My parents abused us when we were kids mostly mentally and spiritually. There was no protection sexually as I was molested but they did nothing about it except say that my perception was off.

I'm sorry to hear you were mentally and spiritually abused by your parents. As someone who has personal experience with sexual abuse, I know how much of an impact it can leave on a person. Despite what your parents said, I want to let you know that your "perception wasn't off". No one has the right to molest you, no matter what.
