...See more The holidays are quickly approaching, which can be an incredibly difficult time for many of us.  For those of us in the United States, Thanksgiving is this upcoming Thursday with Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah closely following.  Rather than assuming what would be helpful for everyone in the community, I wanted to ask and give a few options.   In the past, we have opened the Addiction Support Room on the holiday as well as the day before and after.  While I can't guarantee that I'll be able to keep it open all day, I'd be happy to keep it open as much as I can.  I generally have open discussions so that we can all share what's on our minds, though if you feel a guided discussion would be beneficial, please let me know that as well! Another option would be to have activities here in the forums.  I'm not entirely sure what that would look like right now but I'm working on getting that coordinated as well. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know!  You can post them here in this thread or you can PM me directly. Thanks! IA

I was really struggling. I found this place, and asked for a listener. Not knowing what was going to happen. I go IA and within short minutes I was feeling understood, calm, not alone. This was a really wonderful experience and I've felt truly heard for the first time in a long time. I even have resources to start looking for healing. Real ones. Real person with real compassion.
