...See more I've been a first responder for over 15 yrs so yeah I've seen some things. I was recently diagnosed with ptsd. I've been having nightmares (you know the kind where you wake up drenched with sweat and screaming), flashbacks and panic attacks. I noticed that I have been drinking more to numb myself and to not feel anything. I've been trying to cut back but that has been real hard. I am so overwhelmed with anxiety. I just don't know what to do any more. It is affecting my job and everything.
