Depression Roller Coaster

...See more Anyone else feel like their depression is a roller coaster that goes up and down frequently? I feel like I have hills and valleys a lot and that it's never a consistent feeling for more than 2-3 days. How do you deal with the ever changingness of it all?

...See more So I have talked with my mom and brother and dad about my depression before, and I've been pretty open and honest about it all. And they still don't get it and it can get pretty upsetting for me. Yesterday I was having a low day, especially in the evening where I just wanted to cry for no real reason. I told my brother I wasn't really in the mood to hang out, and he proceeds to go and tell my mom that I am grumpy. I proceed to go and say to my mom that no I am having a low day because of my depression, and she proceeds to roll her eyes. If I wasn't going to cry before I was then. What do you do when you have tried and talked with your loved ones about your depression, and then it seems like it has fallen on deaf ears after all of the honesty and vulnerability?

...See more So I haven't had any sex since 2015 when my FWB became my sexual assaulter. Since then I just haven't been turned on basically ever. My "sex" dreams don't go past making out, I can't masturbate to climax and if I try it feels like I am forcing it and I get very overwhelmed and uncomfortable. In general, I just don't feel horny ever. I've been going through depression and anxiety since before that incident and I know they can both be a factor, but even when I am feeling my best mentally there is zero sexual desire. It's not an absence of feeling attracted to someone because I can still feel attraction towards people, but it's never sexual. So I'm kind of at a lost of what could be happening and if it is just my depression fighting it or something else.
