Stress is the same, holding on for too long will hurt..

Just set the thoughts down here for a while…

Not Today..
Poetry / by Pudding1000

...See more Today is not when I HAVE to matter, Today is not when I have to make the difference, Today is not when I sort my entire being out Today is not when I fix what was broken Today I rest. I let the sorrows be sorrows, love be love, hate be hate And I let my heart and soul breathe.  Because today doesnt have to be the beginning to an end. It can simply just be... Today.

Her Embrace
Poetry / by Pudding1000

...See more My hand reaching for those wrinkled fingers, That are the warmest I've ever held, Bring out a smile that lingers, A love that cannot be spelt. The strength of that hold Taught me to be a child Crying within its embrace Even tho, now it's losing its grip and the stories that it told A voice so soft, It would make feathers feel coarse Wraps me up in a story, Of dreamy nights where love's foretold The hand I longed for now leans on me I hold it tightly to my heart, For her wrinkles feel lighter suddenly. The voice is growing faint, So my ears can't keep up, All I have are my prayers That you taught me, timeless and quaint. ~The End~

Can Independence and Connectedness Coexist?
IDG 7 Cups Hub / by Pudding1000
Last post
August 13th
...See more I've always considered myself a pretty independent person. I like having my own hobbies, my own goals, and the freedom to do things on my own terms. But at the same time, some of the happiest moments in my life have come from feeling genuinely connected to other people. Good conversations, shared experiences, inside jokes, feeling understood by someone... those things matter a lot to me too. For the longest time, I thought these two things were opposites. Like, the more connected you become to people, the more independence you have to give up. Or, if you're very independent, you might not be able to form deep connections. Lately, though, I've been wondering if that's actually true. Maybe a healthy connection isn't about losing your independence at all. Maybe it's about having relationships where both people can be themselves while still feeling close and supported. I'm still figuring out what that balance looks like, but it's made me think a lot about the difference between connection, dependence, and individuality. I'd love to hear what you guys think about this. Do you see yourself as more independent or more connected? Have you ever struggled to balance the two? What does healthy connectedness look like to you?

Can Self-Awareness Ever Be Uncomfortable?
IDG 7 Cups Hub / by Pudding1000
Last post

...See more I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Self-awareness is usually talked about as a really positive skill, and I agree that it is. But I also think people don't talk enough about the fact that it can feel a little uncomfortable sometimes. For me, some of the biggest moments of growth have come from noticing patterns in my own behaviour that I hadn't really paid attention to before. For example, there have been times when I've overthought situations or assumed the worst when I felt uncertain. My first instinct was usually to focus on what was happening around me, but eventually I started asking myself why I was reacting that way. At first, that wasn't always easy. It's much more comfortable to believe that a difficult situation is entirely caused by external factors than to consider the role our own fears, habits, or assumptions might be playing. At the same time, I think that's where self-awareness becomes so valuable. The more I understood myself, the more I was able to respond thoughtfully instead of reacting automatically. It helped me communicate better, manage stress more effectively, and understand my own needs more clearly. So even though self-awareness can sometimes be uncomfortable, I think it's one of the most rewarding skills we can develop because it allows us to learn and grow. What do you think?🫶 Has self-awareness ever helped you discover something important about yourself? Do you think personal growth is possible without self-awareness? 🫶
