Hi. I am Rachel. I am a Regsitered Nurse, and a trained listener. My job requires me to help individuals (and families) through different life challenges. I will not be offering medical advice or any form of psychotherapy. I will, however, be here to listen and provide social support.

Anxiety about Dying and Death

...See more This is pretty deep. Lately I have been thinking a lot of the dying procress, and have become fearful of it. I've never given it much thought about it, but recent deaths in my family have spiraled my mind and has me feeling really anxious about one day dying. I know it is an inevitable thing that happens to everyone. But I am still scared. I'm more of an atheist and believe in neuroscience and evidence. Which increases my anxiety because I believe we cease to exist after we die. Consciousness stops. That thought alone makes me so anxious. I've spent the last week researching evidence of an afterlife.... but the truth is we will never know until it is our time. How do I cope with this inevitable end, how do I find peace?
