Mismatched Values

...See more My partner and I had multiple disagreements recently revolving around our moral values, specifically respecting other people's relationships. I have two stories to share for context.  1. A female friend of his is visiting from abroad. My partner said the girl's ex might still have feelings for her. I pointed out that it was inappropriate to say this as the ex is already engaged to a new girl. My partner didn't seem to care and joked that it was still possible.  2. He went to a bachelor's party and one of the guys there got a lapdance and they sent a video of it to their GC. The guy's girlfriend has access to the account (and therefore the GC as well). They were all joking about what excuse to tell the girl and how it would make her mad. I told him that's pretty much cheating if the girl is not okay with her bf receiving a lapdance. He said "Not my problem".  I'm so torn. I thought he was so against cheating as his girlfriend before me also cheated on him. This makes me absolutely disgusted and I don't know how else to confront him. Every time I bring the values up, he acts like I'm such a pain for thinking too deeply about it.

Do I take a backseat from my relationship?

...See more I’ve (26F) been feeling lonely in my relationship with my partner (27M) for 2 years. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs. He’s kind at heart and is a really great friend, but sometimes I think he’s just not as in love with me as I am OR maybe he just can’t adjust to my love languages. We have communication issues (he tends to avoid talking about our problems and feelings while I want to figure things out before it reaches an impasse). Our major problems tend to turn into impasses and I feel so alone. Our major issues stem from 1) his communication skills, and 2) his hyper dependency on his friends. His friends are cool and we all get along but my partner tends to disregard me whenever it involves them. We’ve broken up over these and he tried to win me back for months. When I thought he changed, I gave him another chance. Now, it seems like he’s slipping back. He has improved a lot and I know growth isn’t linear, but my therapist and doctor are getting concerned because my depression relapsed because of him. My doc is hinting that I should leave him while my therapist is suggesting to just take a backseat. TL;DR: My partner prioritizes his friends over me and it made my depression relapse. Should I take a backseat or just cut it?
