Boyfriend has Intrusive thoughts about me - need advice
Relationship Stress / by Zulia

...See more im really in need of some advice, because I’ve been overthinking it for the past few days and I can’t seem to rationalize it with myself. My boyfriend and I have been in a relationship for a few months now. We both feel very in love and dedicated to each other, as we both have expressed. He makes me so so happy and I literally do not know what I would do without him in my life. well, recently he expressed to me that he was anxious because he was having intrusive thoughts about me. he said his intrusive thoughts basically were thoughts that he didn’t truly love me and so on. I could tell he was nervous about telling me, and I want to be there for him the best I can, but there’s a big part of me that’s really worried that there’s truth in his thoughts. He assured me that there wasn’t any truth in his intrusive thoughts, but they have been scaring him and stressing him out. When I asked more about it, he said that his intrusive thoughts are mainly about me, and they only really started after meeting me. This is what leads me to be scared that it really has to do with me. I’m scared that maybe he’s not truly in love with me and it’s something with his subconscious or something. I’ve looked it up and the only thing that’s come up is relationship OCD, but I know he hasn’t been formally diagnosed with any form of OCD. I’m just panicking, and I’m not really sure what to do. I’m not super familiar with this kind of stuff. If anyone has any advice or reassurance or any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

moving and coping with change
Depression Support / by Zulia

...See more Recently my family unexpectedly moved and it’s been really really difficult on me. I’ve fallen into a depression once again, and it’s the worst it’s been in a very long time. I’m sad and terribly lonely. I dislike my new school. It doesn’t have half of the opportunities that I had at my old one, and the new music program is really lacking. Music is a very important part of my life so that has been one of the hardest parts, because I had to leave my orchestra with a conductor who really positively impacted me. I’ve had to leave my boyfriend and my best friend behind, and I have very few friends outside of them. Im really not excited for school this year anymore. I was feeling so confident last spring and I feel like it’s all just come to a halt. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’m really grieving. I’ve been trying really hard to cope with all the changes but I’m having trouble seeing any positives of my move when I feel like my quality of life just has had a complete downward shift. I’m not sure what I’m looking for by posting this. I think I just need to get all my feelings out. And maybe some advice or words of encouragement could help. Anyway if you made it this far thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope everyone else’s days are going better

How do I find happiness outside of my partner?
Relationship Stress / by Zulia

...See more Recently I just moved an hour away pretty unexpectedly. It’s been really difficult for me because I’ve always lived in the same place my whole life and this is a really huge change. Well I’m 16, going into my junior year of high school and I think the hardest part about moving has been the fact that now I’m farther away from my boyfriend. I know many people look at high school relationships and think of it like a fling, but it doesn’t feel like that at all for me. I’m really truly in love with him and he makes me happier than I’ve ever been. I know he feels the same for me. It’s just that lately, I feel like I can only find true happiness when I’m talking to my boyfriend. I don’t have any close friends right now so he’s basically been the only person I’ve been talking to. I’ve just been very depressed and I’m still struggling to accept all the changes in my life, and I know it’s not healthy nor is it fair to him to rely on him as my only source of happiness. But it feels that way to me. I feel anxious and sad whenever we’re not talking or interacting with each other, and I know I need to find ways to be happy and not lonely without him. I guess I’m just looking for some advice right now, to get past the separation anxiety and to be able to find happiness on my own. If you’ve read this far I thank you and appreciate the time spent :)
