...See more Echoes of the lost Still haunt the breathing kins. We lie in beds, alive by habit Dreamless, sleepless. Memories flash, image by image, each a ghost Of happiness, we didn’t know We were about to lose. Cruel life does not warn. It takes your family, The one you loved most, right at the peak Of its destiny. Traitor Tears gather, They blur my vision. I fight it, trying to hold my ground. But grief remembers faster than I do. First, the silence came. thick, spreading, Unnatural and lonely. Then the shrieks: so strained, broken, carrying more feeling Than a body should hold. The mind betrays us. While living, we overlook everything. After loss, Even a single colour knows its name. The blues we rode. The greens we felt. The pinks we were. And the reds hidden inside us, waiting for a reason to bleed, to grieve

...See more Why am I not normal ? Wrapped in something formal Smiles in cue , don't show the storm Hide the cracks , pretend I'm warm I learned to shine , to look divine . Draped in glitter , covering jitters Every word feels far away But I try , I stay Heart guided with lies Behind walls of disguise I begged , i cried . For a small sign , One second glance One thread of time "Wired wrong " they said Built to pull away I draw the lines Lock my doors Keep out From me And my tainted world It's for the best Scholars don't find me worthy Doctors doubt my quiet hurting They can't see They never do The scars were never on skin Never on show They lived beneath They lived within Heart stilled Breath stuck I wait for peace I count the time Promise myself I'll be fine But nights remember what I hide All the parts left behind.
