Is it abnormal to see traumatizing things online and forget about them?

...See more In no way do I want to make this about me. *** is a great place for learning about what's happening in Palestine. The things happening are nothing short of horrific and graphic, and it is a world worse for the people on the ground in Gaza who have to experience the genocide of their people first hand. It's heartbreaking and infuriating that it's been so long and nothing has been done. I hope for the safety and peace for the people of Gaza and the West Bank. I have been posting about Palestine and reposting posts from Journalists and civilians in Gaza every night for more than a month. I've also called my senators and representatives ( I encourage other people to do this as well, they need to hear from us) however, I don't have an appropriate response to the horror I'm seeing Palestinians go through. When im online viewing images and videos of the terrible suffering kids are going through i am sad for them. When I go about my day I feel fine. This is not normal, i don't want to be unempathetic? How do I combat this? And I apologize that I've somehow found a way to make this about me. 🇵🇸Free Palestine!!🇵🇸

...See more I have a friend online who's had depression for years without end. She has tried alot of medications and therapy and nothing has worked. She is trying to enter a residential program, but after that she plans to pass away. Have you been in this situation, or talked to someone like this before? What helped?
