Bio
Hello, this is Angie. I am a stay-at-home mom. I was born and raised in a strict and controlled family. My mother spoiled me as a way to control me, my father held high expectation of me. Throughout the years, I have been struggling with the issues of my family of origin. Playing as a victim who constantly blamed my parents for my suffering has already been enough for me.
Now, I am a grown-up adult who is capable of taking responsibilities for myself. Therefore, I began to analyze my past relationships trying to figuring out my old attachment mode. Throughout the study, I finally understood the influence my parents had played on me in my childhood, which sheds the lights for me to understand them. Tapping into their stories made me realize that they had also been deeply hurt by their parents and reflections was absent from generations to generations, the cyclical cycle repeated.
When I realized that, my past resentments and hate started to collapse. Instead, the seeds of love filled the void, leading to the change of my relationship with them. When I gave them love, love flowed back to me, what an amazing experience. Now I become more certain than ever that I am capable of mothering my inner child in a way that she wants. Also I become more confident that I can break the circle by nurturing my daughter in a way that she can feel accepted, seen and understood. I want her to know this is the best gift I can ever give to her. Hopefully, she can pass it to her offsprings.
My Buddhism background reminded me to feel compassionate about people's sufferings. And I also believe that everyone has his own Karma to follow, so I am not here to change you. Instead, I prefer to use high-quality questions to help you to search for your answers within. Change needs a strong motivation and the push of our fate. Take easy, little by little, we will get there eventually. Best wishes:)
