...See more Recently, I voiced a frustration I have with my best friend to her boyfriend. I was looking for advice from someone who knows her well on how to approach the situation without hurting her feelings. I was in the midst of an anxiety spiral at the time (which is not an excuse) and basically just word vomited. The entire message came off like I was talking badly about her and my meaning didn’t come through. He told her because he thought I was talking badly about her. Understandably, her feelings are incredibly hurt. She wanted some distance for a few days and I suggested we talk in person when she’s ready. Our talk was yesterday, and while it seemed like we left things on a good note, I’m not sure anymore. I texted her last night and basically said I would be giving her some space to process the situation in her own time, but that I love her and I’m here whenever she’s ready. She read the message and never replied. I’ve also been stewing all day, because her boyfriend’s family said some very mean things about me that really hurt. Basically that I’m not a good person or friend, because of this situation. My friend also said that I’m a very negative person and that it’s bringing her down. I know I can be negative sometimes, especially lately, it just hurt to hear.

...See more It kind of feels like I’ve hit the bottom here. There was a situation with my best friend where I didn’t directly approach her about an issue I had, because I was nervous, and asked her boyfriend for perspective. He and I are friends as well and he’s also come to me for advice regarding her, so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I was in the middle of a sort of anxiety spiral at the moment, and my meaning when talking to him wasn’t clear. It really did come off like I was talking badly about my friend, so I completely understand why she’s angry. But I found out, her boyfriend took the message not only to her, but his mom and sister as well. I found out they were all talking badly about me, and it makes me feel terrible. I haven’t felt this bad about myself in a long time
