Reflecting
It kind of feels like I’ve hit the bottom here. There was a situation with my best friend where I didn’t directly approach her about an issue I had, because I was nervous, and asked her boyfriend for perspective. He and I are friends as well and he’s also come to me for advice regarding her, so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I was in the middle of a sort of anxiety spiral at the moment, and my meaning when talking to him wasn’t clear. It really did come off like I was talking badly about my friend, so I completely understand why she’s angry. But I found out, her boyfriend took the message not only to her, but his mom and sister as well. I found out they were all talking badly about me, and it makes me feel terrible. I haven’t felt this bad about myself in a long time
It sounds like a challenging situation with your best friend and her boyfriend. Miscommunication can often lead to hurt feelings, and it seems like that's what happened here. It's understandable that you're feeling upset about the situation, especially since it's causing you to question yourself. It might be helpful to try to talk to your friend directly and explain your perspective, if you feel comfortable doing so. Communication is key in resolving conflicts, and hopefully, you can work through this together. Remember to be kind to yourself during this time.
