Im walking alone now next to the calm water Wondering where you are Its like everything is way too quiet And I can only hear you and remember the way your face looks when you laugh This is pain like I have never felt before. Like the inside of me is dying And I pretend to smile: At my friends At your friends At everything. While inside I am crying, and screaming and falling apart I loved you with my whole heart. I lay next to you for more than a year, my head on your shoulder, my knee draped over yours. I was ready to give you everything you wanted. And it wasnt enough for you You went looking For another, for more. Now, who is she? In the spot next to you? Are her shoes by yours at the door? Maybe her dress hangs next to mine in your closet Who knows? I no longer have a table, or company. I eat my meals alone in my room, where my soul shakes, Where my heart breaks Every time I think of you.
