His Perfect... BUT..
Relationship Stress / by plumPapaya5566

...See more I am currently in a relationship with a man who treats me well, has alot of respect for myself and my family. However, when I comes to showing me attention and being affectionate (in the ways I desire) - he doesn't seem to provide me with those needs. We have discussed it many times and I have explicitly explained what I need from him and the things I like that make me feel loved and wanted. After our discussions, for the next few days, things are okay as I feel he tries to make up to me.. but it slowly fades. I shouldn't have to beg or asked to be held, kissed and showered with affection. I understand Rach person has a different love language, hence the numerous conversations I have had with him. I try be understand and almost always make up excuses for feeling this way. But i know i am not crazy, I know I deserved to feel the full extent of love. I've woken up this morning in tears, I feel empty - this is definitelyeffecting my mental health. How can everything within the relationship be amazing except this one? And it is a such a huge chunk of what makes a relationship 'a relationship'. I feel crazy and stupid for craving attention? Am I being immature or is it worth being upset over? I love him to bits and i know he loves me... but I need intimacy, connection, affection. I want to feel loved and adored. Advice?

Disrespect

...See more I've been in a relationship for 5 years. Throughout this time I noticed how a level of disrespect started to settle into the relationship. The way he would talk to me, the swearing and yelling. And somehow, I let him get away with it. I thought me loving him and him being sorry would fix it. But it obviously hasn't. So 5 years later, I see myself heading closer to marriage and wanting to start a family and now all I keep thinking is how can I do that when there is no respect. The thing is, it's partially my fault for letting it happen. Being passive and not wanting to fight or make him feel bad. But now I am hurting. And I'm so angry at everything. I know I haven't been perfect, but I've done my best. I've proved myself more than capable of being a women who should be admired, respected and honored. After being sexually harrased a few months ago, it stirred up a form of rage in me. It breaks my heart to love somebody so much and not get the support I need. He had watched me go through all this and he watched how it had broken me down and I thought this would open his eyes and make him realize the women he has. But It hasn't. And it seems like so much stuff has been piled on top of me and I don't even know where to begin to fix it.
