...See more Hey! I wanted to make this post because I am someone who is dealing with ADHD and it’s so crazy how much it has taken my love away from school. As I’ve gotten older my ADHD has gotten WORSE (unmedicated), and I have been less and less interested in school. I used to love school and the academics part but now as a third year in college I realized my lack of interest started after I burnt myself out in hs trying to graduate early. It’s like I fried my interests and now school is outtt. Does anyone have tips for adhd in college and how to manage?

...See more maybe some of you have heard my story or saw me in chat rooms venting, but a quick synopsis of my story: when I was younger, I do think boundaries were pushed by a close relative. luckily it wasn’t too far but it’s still enough to reflect back on and see how that was SA. though i have been doing pretty well with the emotions that come with it, i sometimes get in my head and it can be rough! like right now, i am winding down and when that quietness hits racing thoughts creep into my head. I heard that’s the body reacting to your comfortability so it thinks you can handle the reflections. I am okay. I am safe. My past experience is simply my experience. I will never go back to that situation. To those who have similar experiences and or worse, hang in there. You are beyond your experiences and you WILL find your inner happiness. We are all trying to achieve contentment and joy so let’s do this together. ✨✨ xx, q💋

...See more I have been reflecting on my childhood and i definitely think that boundaries were crossed with some family members. For the longest I remember feeling uncomfortable with admitting it to myself and now I am kind of glad that I do. My biggest issue right now is I feel like I owe everyone that knowledge but I genuinely don’t care to tell anyone in my life except for like a professional. I want to heal from it on my own terms without having to feel like some victim by others. I’m posting because I want people to know that your story isn’t less valid or less heroic because you did not express it publicly to people in your life. You are the only one you should seek validation from and especially when SA is something that is extremely common. You do not owe anyone anything except for yourself. You owe yourself strength, dignity, and resilience. If anyone out there is struggling with that part as well, just know I am here to listen because speaking with a stranger is more impactful at times that having to explain yourself to friends or family.
