...See more Does anyone else get really anxious when they're waiting to hear back from someone? Like when you're expecting a phone call, a text, or a letter be it from someone you care about or, for example, the doctor's office? I always get so paranoid people have forgotten about me and if I think about it too much my emotions escalate so quickly. Is this a bpd thing?? I try so hard to reason with myself but it's like my mind always wins.

...See more Hi everyone, I have recently been diagnosed with BPD and I'm struggling a lot with how and who to tell about it. I think my family, my mom mostly, has always suspected something was wrong but we don't really talk about these things and it was probably brushed off as "typical teenager behavior". I'm 22 now and I don't live with my family anymore, so they have no idea that I've been seeing a therapist etc. I don't have a lot of friends that I trust (actually can only say I fully trust one of them), so the only person who knows about my diagnosis is my girlfriend, who is actually extremelly supportive. Anyway, my question is, should I tell people about my diagnosis, and if so how? I have absolutely no idea how to approach this subject and it's making me really upset because I feel like everyone is slowly giving up on me as they have no idea what's going on so they don't understand why I act the way I do sometimes.
