Is it just me?

Does anyone else get really anxious when they're waiting to hear back from someone? Like when you're expecting a phone call, a text, or a letter be it from someone you care about or, for example, the doctor's office? I always get so paranoid people have forgotten about me and if I think about it too much my emotions escalate so quickly. Is this a bpd thing?? I try so hard to reason with myself but it's like my mind always wins.

@sadlilpeach I don't personally experience paranoia about someone getting back to me unless there's a valid reason, like for example, leaving my car behind and riding with a group of friends to go out drinking, getting separated from them, and not being able to get ahold of anyone that I rode with when it's about time for the bar to close down. And it isn't that I worry that they don't care about me but that I don't really trust them not to do something stupid like get too drunk to notice their phone going off or going home with someone else and leaving everyone behind. I really don't trust other people's competence. It probably makes me seem like a bitch and like I really do think everyone is stupid (maybe I kind of do) because I'll tell them over and over "Meet me at _____ at _____ time if we can't find each other at the end of the night" "You know where to meet, right?" "You're just going to meet me over here okay?" I've got NPD though, not BPD so I guess even though behaviors can seem similar on the surface, the motivation behind them is different. That's what I've noticed anyways.
