...See more Hi! I'm a new user on 7cups.  My name is Daan. i want to try to share my troubles here for myself so that they don't interfere with my life. i often keep things inside myself and it affects me and my environment negatively. so i want to find a listener or a therapist here.  I can tell you a little bit about myself. I am a medical student, studying surgery. besides that i love neurobiology and typology stuff (for fun)!  I love studying people and animals, and i am also a big fan of cinema (movies, series, animated series, whatever). i am also a digital artist (trying to draw) and love everything related to art! However, too much connection with someone alone or in a social group for too long can wear me down.  I have major issues with anxiety, socialization, and dysmorphophobia. of my ophiological diagnoses I have Asperger's syndrome, F41.1, and F43.1. I can't contact psychiatrists and psychiatric hospitals in my city: we have terrible specialists and terrible conditions for patients. i couldn't even find private (paid) psychiatrists/psychologists to help me. if i go to them, i will probably be registered or locked up in bad conditions. the text may look strange because I use a translator, due to my poor knowledge of English.

...See more I feel guilty because I can't draw something complicated. I've been trying to learn how to draw for a long time, and I've come to the conclusion that I only have enough perseverance for small and cute projects. i can draw chibi, cartoon animals or sketch portraits. even if i try to start some cool full-fledged work, i don't have the patience to finish it. every time i take on something like that, i start to hate the process. On the other hand, when I only paint something simple, I feel ashamed that I'm not evolving. I realize that I have ideas that I can't realize myself or that don't fit my style. then I go to other artists to commission the idea from them. People are always saying to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone. but for me, outside of that comfort zone, there is frustration and fatigue. and not for five minutes, I spent years on this before I decided to settle on something simple. otherwise I would have just given up painting altogether.
