Hi, I’m Sierra. Life hasn’t been simple for me. I was adopted, walked through deep grief, heartbreak, trauma, addiction, depression, and my own recovery journey. Those experiences taught me how heavy life can feel and how much it matters to have someone who truly listens.

I’m majored in psychology and a trained 7 Cups listener, here to offer a safe and understanding space where you can share without judgment. Whether you’re dealing with loss, relationship struggles, emotional pain, or simply need someone to hear you, I’m here to listen and walk alongside you.

If you’d like, I share more healing tools and insights on my X under the same username syntaxofscars, you might find it helpful!

...See more But the truth is what came after was even harder. Sitting with my feelings without numbing them, facing the reasons I used in the first place, and trying to figure out who I even was without that crutch. Some days I still struggle. Recovery hasn’t been a straight line for me and I’ve had moments where I hated myself for not being “strong enough.” But over time I’ve learned that every single day I choose not to give up counts as progress even if it feels small. If you’re in recovery or even just thinking about it you’re not alone. What’s been the hardest part of recovery for you and what helps you keep going when it feels impossible?

Depression isn’t just sadness. It’s living in a fog that steals your sense of self. Here’s what I learned from surviving it.

...See more There was a time when I thought my depression made me weak. I couldn’t get out of bed. I avoided people I loved. Even the smallest tasks felt impossible. And the worst part? I hated myself for it. It took me a long time to understand this: depression isn’t laziness or weakness. It’s an illness. And surviving it, even just by breathing through another day, is its own kind of strength. If you’re in that place right now, I want you to know you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. What’s one small thing that’s helped you make it through the hardest days? Even if it feels tiny, I’d love to hear what works for yall.

...See more I used to think healing meant waking up one day and suddenly feeling “normal.” Like the pain would just disappear if I worked hard enough. But the truth? Healing didn’t look like that for me at all. It looked like: * Taking one step forward, then three back. * Feeling okay for weeks, then suddenly crying over something small. * Learning to sit with the memories instead of trying to erase them. If you’re reading this and feel stuck, you’re not failing. You’re just in the middle of the climb. I’m curious: What’s one thing, even if it’s small, that’s helped you keep going on your healing journey?
