...See more Hi! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it. I was together with my boyfriend for 3 months before he suddenly cut things off telling me he has lost feelings for me, doesn’t want romance in his life, and wants to focus on his career. Very reasonable and I totally understood. But two days ago a mutual friend of ours told me that he started dating another girl. The issue is, this girl and him have been close for a while before we ended things. I asked him why he would prioritize her over me during the relationship and if he cared for her more than me. He would always tell me things like “No, I don’t see her like that” or “She’s into someone else” and even “I think my friend likes her”. I’m not sure what to do I feel completely betrayed. I’ve been hurt for a week and I don’t know what to do. To make matters worse, after our breakup, he told me that “I want to stay friends just in case yknow” which I’m not sure his actual intentions but it definitely feels like I’m being treated as a backup plan in case his current girlfriend doesn’t work out.
