I Feel Like I Was Cheated On
Hi! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it.
I was together with my boyfriend for 3 months before he suddenly cut things off telling me he has lost feelings for me, doesn’t want romance in his life, and wants to focus on his career. Very reasonable and I totally understood. But two days ago a mutual friend of ours told me that he started dating another girl. The issue is, this girl and him have been close for a while before we ended things. I asked him why he would prioritize her over me during the relationship and if he cared for her more than me. He would always tell me things like “No, I don’t see her like that” or “She’s into someone else” and even “I think my friend likes her”. I’m not sure what to do I feel completely betrayed. I’ve been hurt for a week and I don’t know what to do. To make matters worse, after our breakup, he told me that “I want to stay friends just in case yknow” which I’m not sure his actual intentions but it definitely feels like I’m being treated as a backup plan in case his current girlfriend doesn’t work out.
Hey girl me too. Mine was of 12 years. I don't know for sure bu after he left me randomly 2 days ago I figured it mustve been someone else. I'm very sad but also if that's the case...we deserve a person that knows how to love and respect us and our feelings. He kept saying there's no one and that he doesn't want to date right now but why else would he abruptly dump me as he's waiting on the couch for me ? For the week before xmas he had glittwr all over him. That week he had a xmas competition at work. Accesory day was the only day he supposedly didn't participate in. However his texts said otherwise. I hate snooping but I had an inkling. I did and his coworker had asked him to come yo her so she could put the accesory on him... when I asked him what that glitter was that day...since he didn't have an accesorios he stuttered and said oh just the decorations from work...
He also said idk if this is the right decision or not but only time will tell...let's be friends... I feel exactly how you do. Let's just move on from these bozos so when they come back (cause they're cowards and they most likely will) we can send them back to ***. Even if it hurts us. It'll just be hurting the image we thought of them. Because we deserve much better

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. My ex was cheating on me emotionally and then less than 24hrs after our breakup was hooking up with my friend. I first was broken but am realizing that she was just not meant to be with me and that I need to find love within myself that way the next person I am with I can tell if they love me as they should. I am sure you’re a great person and love will find you with open arms.
