Feeling Different But Knowing I'm Still Unique
Hi, Good Morning!
I always knew I was different than other people. When I was little I was really extroverted but the older I became the more introverted I became. I knew I was different than other kids my age back then because I'm the youngest of 5, my oldest sibling is 16 years older than me and I never liked other kids that were my age. I always felt like I stood out amongst the crowd, a black sheep. I'm 26 (female) now and I've also always had an emo/alternative vibe and overall style once I became old enough. I still do and sometimes I think it's really cool to express myself in this way because I've always been drawn to the darkness. Then sometimes I feel like maybe it's not that I was ever drawn to it, maybe I AM the darkness. One of my favorite quotes though, and it's by Brandon Lee as Eric Draven in the 1994 film The Crow, is "It can't rain all the time."

I’ve always felt different from other ppl as well. Always been introverted but have been starting to come out of my shell this year. I am glad there are people who can appreciate me for who I am but I myself need to take my socialization game to another level.
