A lot is happening
Hello,
First post so not sure how this works really but here we go...
I recently got 2 new commission only positions. One is selling life insurance. Which is okay I guess but my trainer is awful so I've kinda ghosted them for now but I got the licence at least so there's that. The other job is wholesale with a very small company in my field expanding to my area. They have some major drawbacks but also the market is becoming rich in their favor.
I also have a call to give some expertise about opening another section of a community care clinic with a relative. I'm really hoping, starting as a favor, I can transition into being an actual paid consultant for this type of thing. It was my dream job for many years but so unattainable. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but also really excited to see how it goes.
My gf and I are having some issues. We have for most of the relationship. A lot is emotional/connection issues, some is intimacy, some is money, and a bit is decoration. A member of her family is also in hospice but she just keeps living. Sounds awful to say it like that but she's draining everyone including my gf. It has sucked all of the excitement from our relationship since she just focuses on that person dying so the time. But... She said she's got a great plan for V day. So we'll see. I got her this cute little ring but they aren't me the wrong color and are not responding so that's infuriating.
I've also started a new med which is helping slightly with sleep and staying off my phone at work. I just started it but glad it's actually doing something.
Anyway. Right now I'm 26. I'm hopeful 2026 will be a strong year. Starting with a lot of opportunity is a good sign. Trying to learn to take care of myself first (for once).
@OptimisticFeind
I hope you get the job you desire and makes you happiest and that 2026 is a good year.
Relationships can be difficult, to find time for intimacy and connection, so valentine's day will be ideal.
It's important to have fun and make time for each other.
Reconnect.
I'm sorry your GFS relative is in a hospice
I know you feel it's inconvenient, but imagine being that person yourself, they deserve dignity and compassion.
Wishing you both the best 💚🤗
