What stressed you out at work too much but you realised it is never worth it?
I've been struggling with being excessvely worried at work. Due to some emotional problems and stress, I have been unable to focus at work for a while. It's the second time im really late on something. It's because my awareness is not here and I'm coping wirh a lot of things and then the stress of not getting enough done gets to me and stressed me out further into a freeze state. I want to know if this is something people experience and what they do about difficulties like these at work.

Balasm ,What an incredibly relatable experience you've shared. It's truly eye opening to realize that the intense worry and the freeze state it induces, while feeling all consuming in the moment, ultimately aren't worth the toll they take. Many people can identify with that cycle of stress leading to decreased focus, and then the added pressure of unfinished tasks pushing you further into that overwhelmed state. Recognizing this pattern is a huge step, and understanding that others navigate similar challenges can offer a sense of camaraderie.
And about your question... Let me say ...I've been in very similar situations where I felt completely overwhelmed by work. I always used to set unrealistic expectations for myself to get everything done perfectly, and that’s what really exhausted me and pushed me to a breaking point. However, I later realized that it's never worth all that trouble, and my mental health is far more important than any work pressure. So, I learned to set boundaries and be kinder to myself.
Hey @Tulipsmile
Thanks for acknowledging what I feel so beautifully. It's just that I have been struggling with my mental health since years and I'm trying to keep this job because being financially stable gives me safety as a woman. It's my second time of getting really late. I had used the excuse of ill health which is not far from reality because my physical health is directly impacted by anxiety. Now if I use it again I am afraid they will see me unfit to work and I will achieve a bad rep at work for acting sick all the time. I really inputs from peoppe who have held jobs for longer periods, because I've been here for just am year.
Thanks a lot for your compassion and sharing your experience.

Ohh my pleasure 😊 💝 and thank you so much for sharing with me too 💗
And It's completely understandable to worry about how your health might be perceived at work. People who have successfully navigated long careers with health challenges often prioritize proactive communication about their commitment and solutions, rather than just problems. For example, focusing on what you're doing to manage things and ensure your responsibilities are met, rather than dwelling on the reasons for an issue, can be really effective. Using any workplace resources available to you, like an employee assistance program, shows you're taking steps to address things. For me I consider,The key to long term job stability often lies in demonstrating your value and reliability consistently, even when personal challenges arise, by finding ways to ensure your work gets done. Your concern here actually shows how much you care about your job and your future, and that itself is a significant strength 😇🌷🙏
I hope you all the best in your life and your job 🤗
