I feel like I’m lost
I feel like I don’t know i am. I hate my life i am so unhappy, depressed and nothing is working for me i have no job no money and no friends i basically have no one. I don’t know what to do and I don’t know where to start from.
Hi @Anavami, I am also in the same situation. It feels like I ran away from the world, from my responsibilities to people and to myself. I understand, it is really disappointing, and we tend to question our worth. I also don't have friends to share my problems, I feel like I'll get invalidated if I reach out.
I know the feeling when you see your peers growing personally and professionally, and we end up comparinh ourselves, "Why are they courageous enough to accomplish something, while I, have nothing?"
I hope you find your way back to track again.
Well Wishes,
Hypergraphia
I’ve been there truly it is hard to see past the darkness but in my experience after a few days of feeling all that that goes with it I would force myself to do tiny goals like I mean really tiny like showering or even reaching out to someone I would have somewhat considered likeable and then building from there. It’s a lot easier to overcome the darkness little by little and there’s no rush whatsoever and eventually you’ll start getting the hang of things again. I’m here if you need someone to help you talk thru the process or if you want to bounce different ideas around I’m here! Take it easy be gentle to yourself! Look forward to hearing back from you
I have been in your shoes. Trust me, things will get better one step at a time. You will find that great job that you love and meet new people. I suggest getting involved in a local church and registering with your state career office and temp agencies. You can get assistance to go to a trade school or community college. Change your attitude to a positive way of thinking.
Hi, i don’t know what it’s like to be in your shoes. but I contemplated suicide only months ago. Two years ago I was so happy it seemed like I would never think about suicide ever again. It might seem like the end of it all right now but there is a way out. There is a way and it can be found.
Thank you for being brave enough to post this because I’m in the same type of situation you’re describing and it seems like all the routines and rituals in the world I’ve been engaging in the last 20 years have done basically nothing.
Workshops, volunteering, meditation morning, noon and night, retreats, audiobooks, self help books, changing my diet, decluttering, budgeting, reframing, endless videos on motivation and inspiration, certification courses on emotional intelligence and employment advancement, learning how the mind, body and spirit works and still here I am alone and hurt and wondering what the *bleep* happened.
Yet when I speak to my counsellor and have moments of reflection and times where I’m challenging myself to improve and feel the depth of life not just its breadth and the connection to everything in a way that calms me rather than freaks me out - those are things I try cultivate and steer my mind towards.
I suck at it though, and not sure why. A doctor once told me it was a combination of genetics, upbringing, environment and personality. And because I’m not some character in a Jurassic park movie, I can’t just change my genetics, so I’m learning as much as I can about how my upbringing affected and effected me, improving my environment as much as possible through small habit changes and exploring what my personality is and what aspects of it I need to keep and what could change, if that makes sense.
@Anavami
I'm really sorry youve been feeling like this. I know what this is like. If you need anyone to talk to just message me I'll listen
@Anavami Тhat is terrible! Something similar is happening to me. Do you have a family?
Oooh if I were you I’d get some kind of job, part time to start! Need to belong somewhere and money coming in helps so much!
