Online affairs
Hi there,
I am married woman with a kid. Interested 30s.
I lost both my mom few years back. Married life is do so with few problems in bonding.
Last two years working from home I am going insane as there is no family support nor friends support. Earlier I had a great friends circle including both gender.
Busy office life + friends and social life made me forget family issues. Now work sounds like hell am not able to focus without others support.. but still performance is not affected, am trying to do well.
But I have been having emotional online affairs with a different man each month from last 4 months.
The affair is only virtual and makes me feel I have someone in life who cares for me.. but after a month, it's getting break up as they fail to pamper me or give me the time I want .
I keep obsessing with my online friend throughout the day and that's keeping me happy , but I want to keep one friend for long without obsessing throughout the day, without getting despo myself, but am not able to. Do u think am depressed or obsessed at present.. should I actually stop the online affair? How to stop obsession?
I’m sorry life has changed so much for you in the past two years! It sounds like you’re trying to fill some voids the past two years has created. You could even be addicted to those happy brain hormones you get from gratification from these online affairs. The real deal is that filling the void in real life is really really hard. I’d say if you’re looking for relationships to build, find a group who has the same hobbies as you and focus on building those friendships online that could one day turn into real life friends! If you’re having problems breaking the addiction, delete the app you’re using to have the affairs or talk to a therapist. Happiness is the most satisfying in real life!
