Scared
Today after all of my scheduled events, and I had some time to breathe, it starts to dawn on me just how much I am behind in all of my assignments to the point that if I were to calculate my current collected points/% it seems almost impossible to pass this semester. Finals are in 2 weeks and since I'm far behind, I am most definitely unprepared. I know I have to do something to at least try get some of the work done but I kept on overthinking things to the point of exhaustion and then lose hope and motivation. I'm scared to start, scared to fail, confused on where to start even, I honestly just want to drop everything and go missing just to escape all the problems, which is really irresponsible, I don't know. I just wish I could restart because I know I could have done well if I had more discipline and push myself more from the start. I wish to find the strength to take a step forward out of the well I'm stuck in
Breathe. So many of us were in your shoes. I once had a panic attack before going into a one-on-one exam where the lecturer watches you and you have to explain what you’re doing and why. I’m 35 now and I’ve never been that worked up since. School and University can be intense and we put so much pressure on ourselves. Prepare. Sit down and write a list of what you need to do and when by, break those tasks down and give yourself a time limit … and make sure the total time is 1 day prior to when things are due. This will give you a buffer. Then make sure you have food available, if not set up your food and water/tea for the week. Easy to make food. Come back and write a daily schedule: up at 6am, meditate/exercise, assignments, lunch, assignments etc. No distractions. Get stuck in: do one day. How did you go? Did you get through what you thought you would? How could you improve the next day? How is your mental clarity? Try to take a multivitamin daily to help. Repeat. This will be intense but will give you the best possible chance. Check in here if you need more support or to vent. Remember: you will be okay. You will try your best, be proud every day of the effort you put into this moment, yes you’re behind now but you’ve learnt and you will be more prepared next time. You got this!
