i finally left...I hope for good. We have been together off and on since high school and I am now 35. He has always been a bit... Of an ***... But he went to prison and is now the most controlling person ever. I am a big girl and can own up to my actions, but I was sober for ten years and then got with him and he would hold it under my nose daily (after we had been together awhile) until I said yes and got strung back out on opiates. He would use the drugs to control me so that I would be okay with it and allow him to talk to me like I was absolutely worthless or else be aicí from not using. Today I finally left. I left but I feel lonely AF. I decided that living with him and dealing with it just so I had a place to live wasn't worth the horrible deal I had to hear ans that is rather detox cold turkey on the streets before I stayed there another second. I still am neeabke n

The best advice, I apologize, is cold and hard.

Stay clean, away from the junk. Please seek therapy, it will help! I know it can be hard to talk but hey, you’re here and doing it already, that alone makes you stronger than you give yourself credit for!! Remember that, write it on your arm to keep reminding yourself! I believe in you, and even if you think that nobody loves or cares about you, YOU’RE WRONG. I care!! And I don’t need to know you or see you to tell you that I love you if for nothing other than reaching out!!

You’re strong and you’ve already proven that by coming here and talking. Keep it up, you’ve got this!!!
