Being Alone
I've recently worked out that I fear?? being alone... I avoid going home and stay at my friends or family... I've not been home 6 days now... I also stay in bad relationships just so I have someone to love.... You'd think at 45 I would have learnt by now 🙄 Thanks for listening x

It's okay to be concerned about solitude. Every single person has been frightful of becoming completely isolated from others at a particular point in their life; even at 45, it's normal to sense this worry. Such thoughts aren't a matter of age, but of the general human experience. An important point to make, too, is to be able to distinguish between autonomy and loneliness. There are times where being alone is necessary for an individual's quality time, self-care, and personal growth. However, nobody deserves to feel lonely and should have at least one person to turn to in a time of need. Being away from loved ones for a period of time can be emotionally hurtful and nostalgic.
From my understanding, remaining in maladaptive and discouraging relations with those in our circle can give us the impression that we'll never be able to attain full independence. Their toxicity in their traits and treatment may be latching on and making you believe that you "have" to maintain such interactions. However, when people weigh you down you impact you in a negative way, it's most definitely a sign to keep your distance from them.
Once again, do not worry about age play a part: it doesn't. We all learn something new every single day and it's never too late to realise, rediscover, and redefine things for yourself.
If you're still feeling quite discouraged about dealing with loneliness, drop me a message. I'm a Listener and I'd like to ensure you are heard and empathised with.👌🏽
It's comprehensible to sense frustrating and, possibly, diappointment in yourself for not being able to deal with
