Hi there I'm new to 7 cups I recently left my partner of 7 years because things started getting physical. I thought if I moved out we could try fix what had gone wrong, this was always the plan. However I have now moved our and my ex partner is ignoring me pretending I don't exist. I am shattered. Please give me some advice

@plumWriter844

Heyya plum! It's nice to meet you and Welcome to the 7cups family! <3

I definitely think that you did a great job in protecting yourself and you did the best you could given at a time where things started to get more physical. So, I suggest you to not blame yourself for it. It seems like there might be a misundestanding between the two of you. Definitely think that talking things through with him would help clear out this misunderstanding.

With that being said, if you feel like sharing anything, we have our extremely kind listeners that will help you feel a bit better! Take care of yourself and remember that we are always here for you!

Thank you for your kind words. I am heartbroken because it seems like all the love he said he had for me has disappeared over night. I'm battling to understand how you can stop loving and caring for a person over night. To me this just proves he never really cared

Yeah, honestly. It's a very tough situation to be in. Especially when you really for the person but care for yourself as well. I would say that decision of leaving or staying with him, remains with you only. Just know that whatever decision you make, we want to see you happy and safe <3 That's what we all truly care about~

Love has many faces, and some of them are distorted. Sometimes we think we love someone when we want to just conquer them. Sometimes we mistake a strong feeling for love. Only he knows his feelings for you, and, actually, we rarely know exactly how we feel. Maybe disappearing from your life was his way of getting over you. Maybe thats what he needs. Find what you need and maybe move on with your life.
