Connecting to others
What are some of the ways that you connect to (or attempt to connect to) people while feeling, disassociated, disconnected, lonely or isolated?
@peacefulIris56
I try to look at forums and places like this for people that are going through similar things.
I’ve been feeling lonely for the last few years. I’ve joined several common interest groups on Facebook but it’s hard to find real connection. I’ve grown strong spiritually over these years and that has kept me going
Well...........In my case I am alone and lookinfg for someone to come in my life......what you guys think of I am 43 male.....do you think i should go for having new life partner in this age or i should live my life as it is ??
@jayen009 it's difficult being alone especially when we want people in our lives, like life partners. It is really up to you if you get a new life partner or not. No one is ever to old to start dating again.
@jayen009
In our family, we always mention Aunt Helen - who got married for the first time at the age of 88. So, I think you're ok at 43.
I am married and very happy withbmy marriage, but have these constant thoughts of what it would be like when I am alone. Its terrifying and I can't stop thinking about it. Its given me horrible depression and anxiety and its really hard for me to break the thought pattern. Anybody else do this? How do you cope?
Some say alone means all one. if so no one is alone. A squirrel a puppy dog a wife a husband it’s all just life! Enjoy the zest!
I get more real meaningful conversation from a squirrel than people sometimes so enjoy every moment I say every moment is equal there is not a particular zeitgeist or epiphany other than something you come across in a current moment at some time or other and quantum physics has begun to question the nature of time and space itself
