Did I offend my boyfriend
Me and my boyfriend are going away for the weekend. I made the hotel reservation. He offered to help with it. I turned it down and told him I appreciate it. I can take care of it and that I’m happy to pay for things, too. He has certainly paid for enough for me. He likes to help and to pay for things. This was a few hours ago and I haven’t heard from him since. I’m worried I offended him. Did I?
i think you did all you could by explaining to him that you although you appreciate his generosity, you also want to contribute sometimes. Has he reappeared?

In my opinion i don’t think you offend him in anyway, instead you offer to help him with the reservation cost that you actually did. Instead of just leaving and not giving you a reason why he should be grateful that he has a girlfriend that is happy to help him its call a relationship. Maybe he doesn’t see that our you know how guys are that they feel that if a girl offers to pay and not him doing it he might consider himself worthless. Hopefully by this time you have heard from him if not try to communicate with him and talk it out, I don’t think it’s something that major for him to disappear like that. If he does love you he is going to reappear and try to work things out if he doesn’t than there might be a problem with him. Just try to be patient who knows maybe he just needs some time to think about it and then sooner than you most expected he will be calling you. Best of luck and i hope he does.
