Been feeling helpless. been in a toxic relationship and had a child.

its so much too unload. i know what needs to be done, but coping and managing emotions is overwhelming.

Me and my childs mom, have a toxic relationship. The line between Casual and serious got blurred. We both were getting our lives on track.

Before we could close our chapter, she was pregnant, we both thought we could work something out together initially. but she chose to move in with family in another close state.

When the baby came, a lot was revealed, and both of us still were trying to figure it out. Two 1st time parents, far from eachother.

I was willing to do anything to make it work but at the same time wasn't able to do as much

the Current situation is our daughter is 3yrs, the mother and i focus on the daughter. but its a struggle to reach out to the mother about my daughter like we used to.

Its also clear that she doesn't want anything serious to get along. but still wants casual sex.

in my mind, im worried shes probably found someone else, since im not there as often, especially after covid. and the images of her with someone else is haunting me.

ive asked plenty of times but she wont open up about it. So im left uncertain. So im cool with focusing on our child.

still the communication from her is dismal. i want to move on but yet part of me still latches on hope for my child's sake.

and then there's what if i move on, but she hasn't been seeing anyone, and i end up with someone else, will it effect my ability to see my kid. should i risk that?

Let me mention! im not on the childs Certificate

let me also mention i haven't cheated but im also haven't been able to give her enough comfort and security she since we're far apart. (4hr drive difference) so i know theres resentment.

I have been contributing weekly as much as possible without the need of th court thus far.

but i feel like im getting to see her less and less .

Now im here because there are barely any non custodial Father support groups out there, to help cope with emotions

Therapy is expensive

Court is very very expensive

i feel helpless with these emotions.

i know if i try to reach out to get an answer, she's wont respond unless its strictly about daughter, in which she only replys 50% at most .

what does a noncustodial parent do, where can he turn to for aside from expensive outlet?

im already in the most Expensive big city in the Eastern U.S

P.S. since my post was long there is a lot i didn't elaborate on. because its a lot to unpack.

i need advice on what I can do, because keep busy isn't working! close friends can only do so much, but in the end im left here toiling with these emotions.

im trying to accept the possibility that she's been seeing someone else.

base on her character in the past its likely, but i don't know for sure, and i dont want it to be true.

i know what I must do, but its hard when I have a little one who life i desperately want to be apart of .

and the court system odds are stacked against father's who want to be present

Why dont you try being upfront and honest with her about your feelings ? Tell her that if she is not interested in having a romantic relationship with you, you will move on and look for someone else.
