I know it takes time
My girlfriend and I broke up a few days ago, because she says she needs to find herself again but I don't think I'll be in the picture anymore. It sucks because I love her so much with all my heart all I can do is think about her, what she's doing without me, everything. I'm so lost
@conscientiousMaple137 i wish you luck * grits teeth* my last relationship was when i was 17 im 19. still tough. you will cry and imagine and hold on to notes or gifts and feel mad at the unvirse feel all thoses emotions
@conscientiousMaple137
just like her you'll find yourself again and grow from that relationship and learn to live for yourself without her
@conscientiousMaple137
You should instead find happiness in yourself. Rather depending on an external source, in fact it's time u decide what u have to do about yourself...Time is a healer. HEART'S GOT A POWER TO HEAL, STOP DOUBTING ON ITS INTEGRITY.
Not a very supportive comment, and isn't that giving a ton of unsolicited advice? That's not what we do here.

Hi Maple,
First of all i'm really sorry for what happened.
Breakups are never easy to handle. But given some time you will soon find yourself in a better headspace and place.
We are here for you if you need to talk :)
Take care!
@conscientiousMaple137 Respectfully, like you said, you are so lost. Focus on yourself my friend. Find yourself. Leave her in the past. You can do this King. Head up and soldier on. Learn to love yourself. Find your passions and hobbies again that you may have left in the past. Workout. Get out into nature. Look after your mental health. Be kind to yourself and most of all DO NOT RUSH this process. Goodluck and God Bless.
I feel the same but in the opposite situation. I’ve been doubting myself, what my purpose in life is, how to handle some incredible gifts but also some incredible headaches. These doubts carried over to my relationship with my girlfriend. I ran right into her triggers and my own. She broke up with me and doesn’t want to talk to me for a month. I’m really not sure what to do, other than respect her space; I realize now I don’t want to live without her. The only thing I can do is focus on being the best version of myself for her, which takes active work every day.
In your situation, the only thing I can say is it was her, not you. Reflect on some mistakes but don’t beat yourself up over them. Time will heal the pain, most likely.
My best advice would be FEEL all the emotions you are feeling. Sit with them. The thoughts can stay too. Sit with it all, focus on it, until it starts to dissipate. Handling emotions in this way should make handling the emotions themselves easier, plus if you truly experience the emotions it won't turn into repressed trauma or repressed emotions and you will be able to move on from the situation (eventually) in a much healthier way.
I remember when I left my child's father to find myself. We got together when I was 16 and were together for 7 years. Though my story is different as we were both heroin addicts and I left him to lead a clean life where I could be a better mother.
You are better off without someone who doesn't want to be with you. It would have ended at some point, because her heart wasn't in it, and it's good that it ended now instead of after having children and assets to split and all that.
I would have an open conversation about what you and your next partner want out of life before feelings start getting in the way. This makes staying together easier (until what one of you wants changes).
Like you said, you know it gets better with time. You will get through this and be okay, but right now sucks, but it's good to be okay with that. "Right now sucks, but I'm going to be okay with it being imperfect right now". Like I said before, it will help you move on in a healthier way.
Best of luck to you ❤️
